My name is Tashfiq Farjad. I grew up in Minneapolis and my family immigrated here from Dhaka, Bangladesh. Growing up in Minnesota, sometimes I felt I was not Desi enough or not American enough. I’m wearing a traditional Bangladeshi Panjabi, ripped jeans, and some Timbs on my feet. This outfit is a cool way to adapt South Asian clothing to the cold Minnesotan climate. I’ve also included some Desi snacks and American snacks that I really enjoyed as a kid.
