This piece is a portrait of the protagonist from Shakespeare’s Othello. Othello’s jealously is one of his major character flaws, and this eventually leads to his downfall in the play. In this piece, I aimed to create a feeling of jealously through the figure’s uncomfortable expression and the use of intense lighting to emphasize the face.
